New Wave Endo-Surgery Inc. announced today that it completed the acquisition of the Acacia Inc. (formerly known as MPS Acacia Inc.) FDA cleared Nerve Block Needle and anesthesia kit product line. The 510k cleared product line includes several nerve block needle designs for anesthesia delivery, including nerve stimulating needles used for locating and delivering local anesthetic to peripheral nerves or nerve plexuses. “There is a paradigm shift happening in surgery, studies are showing that pre-operative and post-operative nerve blocks dramatically reduce pain and less pain leads to reduced opiate use after surgery. We are very excited with this acquisition,” said Alexander Gomez, co-founder and CEO.
New Wave Endo-Surgery Inc. was founded in 2014 to design, and manufacture proprietary medical devices for laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
